A classic. Deserves to be run every year. There is one other rule you forgot to tell the kiddies. Get your expenses up front, because the magazine might fold while you're still researching. True story. Happened to me.

"Me: Garth, you almost lost your house, but at the last minute someone bailed you out. You must be feeling pretty good about this.

A long pause during which life is discovered on Mars; an ice age threatens Woodstock, getting as far as Tannersville, then withdraws; I die and having learned nothing from my previous life am reborn as a feature writer." haha

ohhh god besides the fact i read "This Wheel's on Fire" and got the true skinny on this band about 20 years ago a band i have cherished since they made that first album up at Big Pink and lived close by Butterfield (and whom i wished you had interviewed back in day!!) and also Robbie Robertson who made that great album incorporating his Native American heritage, all of it, this is a complete joy to read......journalism is indeed for nosey people and when they are funny too its a great match

love it i can even excuse Levon for the poison ivy tjhing see "The Day They Drove Old Dixie Down"

he figured you could take it
